It was a beautiful day and everywhere, couples were kissing, holding 
hands, just being so damned happy together. Everyone was all happily 
paired off with someone.

Everyone except Carrot.

"It's not fair," he mumbled, kicking at a rock. "I wish they would stop 
all their smooching and 'I love you's and all that sappy romantic crap, 
it's so annoying!"

Marron and Milphey had confessed their love for each other a week ago. 
Haz Knight Cinnamon Tea had recently fallen in love with Tira, and Tira 
had come to return her feelings after awhile. Dota and Sirius had each 
other. Even Chocolat wasn't an option anymore, as she had fallen in love 
with Gateau's sister Eclair.

He was glad Chocolat and Tira had finally found other people, and he knew 
that Dota and Sirius were pretty much meant to be, as they were the last 
two winged people around. But it wasn't those relationships that were 
bothering Carrot.

"Marron..." he sighed.

No matter what happened in Carrot's life, the one thing that had always 
been a constant was that Marron was always there with him. The 
unconditional love and support of his brother were what kept him going.

He knew Marron still loved him, of course. But now he was sharing that 
love with another person-no, scratch that, he was sharing MARRON with 
another person. The way Marron loved Milphey was different from the way 
he loved Carrot.

"It's not fair," Carrot sighed, sinking against a rock and burying his 
face in his hands.
